Request: Render images from external repository (webstorage.istpcomputing.com)
Purpose: Backup/centralised management, reduced server load, theoretical faster loading times

I have created an external public repository for storing some images. It is my intention to render these images on the wiki at www.istpcomputing.com (taswinwiki database). The purpose is to centralise the storage of images and assets for backup and management purposes. It would also allow reuse the images across projects if necessary. The images are either public domain images, derives of them or my own works.

Can you please whitelist (webstorage.istpcomputing.com) so I can render images on the wiki (if necessary)?

Thanks,

User Intp

Hi. We have a strict policy regarding CSP whitelists to protect privacy and security. Therefore, the website to be whitelisted will need a Privacy Policy (even if minimal) at the very least to be added.

I think the wiki needs the following extension installed to upload / render images from an external repository.

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AWS

Simply whitelisting may not work.

Thanks,

The S3 extension is incompatible with our setup as we use Swift. To display images from an external wiki, you could ask for a shared file repository to be set up with that wiki.

@Intp given the above, unless this is still necessary, this is declined as unnecessary. If this is still necessary pleass feel free to reopen.
