Open, NormalPublic

Description

At present, it is not possible to enable the extended Flow and Newusersmessage on Miraheze at the same time , but it can be enabled at the same time on zh.wikipedia.org.
Can realise this function on Miraheze? Thanks.

The problem here is, Flow conflicts with NewUserMessage because the latter extension only recognises the wikitext content model. It can not deliver on a Flow content model. That's why it is not possible to have both enabled here on Miraheze. But there's probably a way to configure NewUserMessage to understand Flow? or the other way round. I don't have any idea for now. I'll probably do some checking.

I just tested the Flow extension on my wiki , I found that the Flow extension does not change the new user discussion page to "flow" by default. Maybe this is the way to make NewUserMessage support Flow?

Hi,

I would like to start by apologizing on the project's behalf that your task was not resolved within a reasonable time. The community has now decided via RfC to merge with WikiTide and former volunteers will be returning and new ones will likely join. An event such as this one is unlikely to occur again.

Since your task has been opened for a long time, please let us know if (1) you still need it to be done or (2) if it's a bug: if it's still occurring.

NOTE: This is a mass message and not specific to any particular task.

Hi,

Since no response to the latest question has been received in a while, we must assume that this task is no longer needed and will now be closing it as Declined. (This is simply to indicate to us that the task was not done)

If you still need this task and are able to respond, please feel free to reopen this task and indicate that it is still needed and we will start working on it. I would like to apologize once again for any inconvenience caused by this task not being resolved within a reasonable time.

It seems Flow has been set as a conflict ever since the beginning of ManageWikiExtensions, but I don't understand why, as before ManageWiki there seems to have been some wikis that indeed had both extensions enabled at thw same time.

https://github.com/miraheze/mw-config/commit/9769316dcc96f88c3eeab57eee9b19f77afbc269

I'll test this on Mirabeta. If it doesn't blow up, I'll change config so that both can be enabled at the same time.

This has been set as a conflict since the very beginning of ManageWiki but I'm not sure why is they were enabled together manually before that so this can almost certainly be done.
